Hi my name is Craig and I put together this blog as a way to track my progress of an online poker challenge I have set for myself. By making this challenge public, I hope to keep myself motivated to the inevitable swings that will take place on my journey and to inspire others who have similar dreams for their online poker playing experience.


I first started playing online poker in the fall of 2004. I downloaded a poker program called True Poker and setup a play money account. For the next couple of months I learned the game of Texas Holdem and prepared myself for the next step … playing with real money.


In January of 2005 I made the leap to the big time. I deposited $100 and began to play. Within a month I was able to take out the $100 and still have a reasonable bankroll to play with. From these initial beginnings, I have gone on to play through several sites including Cake Poker, Full Tilt Poker, Sun Poker, Poker Stars, and Hollywood Poker to name a few.


Playing online poker is a fun hobby and has earned me a few extra dollars for vacation but now I feel like setting myself up with a real challenge. Can I systematically increase my bankroll by thousands of percent with discipline and my understanding of how to play online poker? Along the way, I plan to provide up to date posts of my status and any insites, tips, news that I learn along the way.
